Ingredients
1Tablespoonvegetable oilor bacon drippings
1½mediumdiced onions
1Tablespoonminced garlic
⅔cupdiced carrots1 carrot = ⅓ cup
½medium headcabbagecut as ½-inch chuncks
½Tablespoonground black pepper
4cupschicken broth
1cupwateror this amount more chicken broth
Instructions
In a medium large pot, add oil, diced onions, and diced carrots. Cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes.
1½ medium diced onions, 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil, ⅔ cup diced carrots
Toss in cabbage chunks and black pepper. Mix it all up well.
½ medium head cabbage, ½ Tablespoon ground black pepper
Add in chicken broth & water. Stir everything to combine well. Increase heat to boiling. Then, reduce heat to medium low. Cover pot and continue at medium low for 1 hour. Then, serve.
4 cups chicken broth, 1 cup water
