This Pork Rub Recipe uses common ingredients and can be made either dry or wet. It is both sweet and spicy and is designed mostly for pulled pork. However, it's also good for pork roasts and pork chops.

Ingredients for Initial DRY RUB
¼cupdark brown sugar
½Tablespoonsalt
½Tablespoonground black pepper
¾teaspoonspaprika
1TablespoonGarlic Powder
½Tablespoononion powder
1Tablespoondry mustarddry ground or powder
½Tablespoonground cumin
½Tablespoonchili powder
¼teaspoonscayenne red pepper
Ingredients to Add for WET RUB
2Tablespoonhoney
1TablespoonApple Cider Vinegaror white vinegar
1Tablespoonwater
Instructions
Combine all dry ingredients.
¼ cup dark brown sugar, ½ Tablespoon salt, ½ Tablespoon ground black pepper, ¾ teaspoons paprika, 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder, ½ Tablespoon onion powder, 1 Tablespoon dry mustard, ½ Tablespoon ground cumin, ½ Tablespoon chili powder, ¼ teaspoons cayenne red pepper
Optionally, add in wet rub ingredients.
2 Tablespoon honey, 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 Tablespoon water
Use now or store dry rub in a spice jar. If adding any wet ingredients, store in fridge until ready to use.
Notes
Good for about an 8 lb pork roast, pork shoulder, pork loin, Boston butt, pork tenderloin, or pork chops. Makes a little less than 1/2 cup dry rub or a little over 1/2 cup wet rub.
