Substitutions for Sour Cream

So, you can replace sour cream with Greek yogurt in this crab sandwich recipe. However, that’s only if you want an alternative.

Real Crab Meat or Imitation?

You can use any combination of a mixture between imitation and real crab. Or you can use all real or all imitation. But, if using real crab, the canned lump is the most affordable that has a good texture. However, be sure to avoid “white crab meat” in cans. Although cheaper than lump, it’s too mushy for this recipe.

Also, ensure any canned crab meat is labeled as being pre-cooked. Otherwise, plan to cook it yourself. It can be easily done via a microwave if needed.
