- 2 lbs kielbasa or smoked sausage or turkey sausage links (precooked)
- 2 rolls sub rolls or French bread or Italian bread
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1½ tsp garlic powder
- 1½ tsp onion powder
- 2 cups tomato-based sauce such as spaghetti sauce, Ragu, tomato sauce, pizza sauce, or marinara
- 1 Tbsp Italian seasonings or oregano
- 8 ozs mozzarella cheese shredded
- 2 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp parsley flakes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to broil at 500°F.Split the kielbasa lengthwise and cut into sections about 3-4 inches long. Microwave (or other preferred method) to heat up the kielbasa sections, and set aside.2 lbs kielbasa
- Split the sub rolls (or bread loaves) lengthwise and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Add butter, salt, garlic power, and onion powder to all.2 rolls sub rolls, 2 Tbsp butter, 1½ tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp salt, 1½ tsp onion powder
- Broil rolls halves at 500°F on middle shelf, until very lightly browned on edges, usually about 2 minutes. Then, remove from oven.
- Distribute the kielbasa sections across all bread halves.2 lbs kielbasa
- Add the tomato-based sauce across the kielbasa.2 cups tomato-based sauce
- Add the Italian seasonings, cheeses, and parsley flakes.1 Tbsp Italian seasonings, 8 ozs mozzarella cheese, 2 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese, 1 tsp parsley flakes
- Broil in the oven at 500°F for about 3-4 minutes until the sandwich has browned properly. Serve after sprinkling some parsley flakes across each.
